Introduction of the Open Data Center Committee
The Open Data Center Committee(ODCC) is under the guidance of the China Communications Standardization Association(CCSA), aiming at openness, cooperation, innovation and win-win, focusing on servers, data center facilities, networks, new technologies and testing, edge computing, intelligent monitoring and management, etc., to create an active, efficient and internationally competitive ecosystem and open platform, to promote the formation of industry unified and internationally influential norms and standards, and promote industrial cooperation, technological innovation, promotion and application.
ODCC regularly holds plenary meetings, working group meetings, salons, and seminars, and holds the Open Data Center Summit every year, with over 10000 people and more than 40 media outlets attending. ODCC has currently released over 300 achievements, playing a positive leading and driving role in the development of the data center industry, and has become a barometer for the development of the data center industry.
At present, the decision-making group members of ODCC are Tencent, Alibaba, Baidu, China Telecom, China Mobile, China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, JD.com, and Meituan. There are over 200 member units covering enterprises in the data center ecosystem.
Purpose of the Open Data Center Committee
ODCC has been integrating advanced research contents in the data center area such as Scorpio cabinet server, modular data center, and open network. ODCC aims to create an open data center platform in China, promote the development and infrastructure’s standardization of Internet industry, and accelerate the process of Internet industrialization.
Research summary of the Open Data Center Committee
ODCC is made up of policy-making committee, consultant, office and working groups. There are 6 working groups, Data Center Server WG、Data Center Infrastructure WG、Data Center Network W、Edge Computing WG、Intelligence Monitoring and Management WG、New Technology and Test WG. Project teams are set up under each working group.

IFR，Data Center Infrastructure WG：Research of the Data Center Working Group includes micro-module data center project, prefabricated modular data center project, power modular project, monitoring modular project,data center site white paper project,data center operation maturity project, data center test and verification project , edge data center project, green data center project, data center security project, data center insurance project and so on.
NET，Data Center Network WG：Research of the Network Working Group includes 10G AOC project, 25G TOR project, 25G AOC project, 100G open optical module project, OpenFlow switch TTP model project, IPOC project, virtual switch project, 100G box switch project,Phoenix project, SDN Southbound interface project, SDN Northbound interface project.
